Park Run Grand Prix
Season 3 - 2026
This is now the third year of the Park Run Grand Prix! This pitted members against each other over a series of Park Run events, using their age-graded times to level the playing field!
Here's how it works!
Here's how it works!
-
You must be a member of our club take part in the Grand Prix (but please bring other runners with you if they would like to visit other Parkruns).
-
Your must do at least 5 of the 8 Parkrun events.
-
The competition is based on Parkrun's age grading scores. Best average age grading across the competititon wins. This makes is a level playing field by age and gender.
-
If you do 6, 7 or all 8 your best 5 results from the 8 events will be used to determine your place in the competition.
-
To encourage participation at the end of the competition anyone who has done all 8 events will get 3% added to their average age grade. Anyone who has done 7 will get 2% added and anyone who has done 6 will get 1% added.
-
You must get at least one Parkrun volunteer credit between the dates of the first and last Grand Prix event - this can be at any Parkrun at any time between April and November 2026.
-
If you can't take part on the scheduled date, you can still run an event on the week before and it will count, but not the week after (this is to avoid highly competitive people waiting to see what others in the competition achieve, before deciding how hard to run!)
-
We encourage you to wear your club vest or a Parkrun milestone t-shirt.
-
Please travel together if you can, to save on fuel costs and reduce the impact on the environment and please try and stay for coffee and cake afterwards, if you have time. This will be especially important for the Woolaton Hall and Rutland events which are a bit further away than the others.
-
All the events offer a café for post Parkrun rehydration, toilets and accessible parking (there is a charge for parking in some places - please refer to the Parkrun website for details).

If you have never run a Parkrun before (why not!), you will need to register before the first event. When you register, ensure you sign up as a member of the Club.
