Hope you are all ok and keeping safe - and running - despite Lockdown 3.
It’s that time of year again when we ask all members to think of a small local charity Striders can adopt as our Charity of the Year for 2021.
Last year you may remember we were able to raise close to £3,000, despite Lockdowns 1 & 2, for Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre. In 2019 we raised over £2,000 for LAMP, a Leicestershire mental health organisation.
We need your nominations NOW as the entry fee for the 30-mile relay next month will be the first event to benefit the new charity and we want a special organisation to help during our 30th anniversary year!
It could be a charity close to your heart or just one that you have heard needs some help. There are so many local charities struggling during these strange times and any fundraising from Striders will be hugely appreciated.
The deadline for your nominations is the end of Friday 29th January. So come on and let’s get those votes in for another charity to benefit.
